AIGAC Membership Requirements
We welcome two types of members at AIGAC: Individual Consultants and Consulting Organizations.
Who Can Join?
- Individual consultants who directly advise clients on graduate admissions
- Organizations that employ or represent multiple graduate admissions consultants
Individual Consultant Requirements
To qualify for AIGAC membership, individual consultants must:
- Work directly with clients to provide graduate admissions guidance
- Be compensated for providing that guidance
- Hold at least a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- Have a minimum of 24 consecutive months of experience in graduate admissions consulting
- Have advised at least 15 clients
- Agree to uphold all principles represented by AIGAC
Organizational Membership
Consulting organizations may apply for AIGAC membership if they:
- Have a clear focus on graduate admissions consulting
- Meet AIGAC’s ethical and professional standards
- Employ multiple consultants who individually meet the requirements above
Organizational membership eligibility is based on the number of qualified consultants on your team and is subject to Board review.
