AIGAC Membership Requirements

We welcome two types of members at AIGAC: Individual Consultants and Consulting Organizations.

 

Who Can Join?

  • Individual consultants who directly advise clients on graduate admissions
  • Organizations that employ or represent multiple graduate admissions consultants

 

Individual Consultant Requirements

To qualify for AIGAC membership, individual consultants must:

  • Work directly with clients to provide graduate admissions guidance
  • Be compensated for providing that guidance
  • Hold at least a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Have a minimum of 24 consecutive months of experience in graduate admissions consulting
  • Have advised at least 15 clients
  • Agree to uphold all principles represented by AIGAC

 

Organizational Membership

Consulting organizations may apply for AIGAC membership if they:

  • Have a clear focus on graduate admissions consulting
  • Meet AIGAC’s ethical and professional standards
  • Employ multiple consultants who individually meet the requirements above

 

Organizational membership eligibility is based on the number of qualified consultants on your team and is subject to Board review.
